Integrated Clinical Counselling Program

Year 2 Courses
With the foundation of the Year 1 courses, students can focus their learning on more specialized counselling approaches.

Fees
The fee for the Year 2 courses is $4,000.00. There are flexible fee arrangements, including a non-interest monthly payment plan.

CURA is registered as a Post-Secondary Private Training Institute and tuition fees are tax deductible.

Counselling Supervision
This course provides on-going feedback and supervision in a group format for students who are counselling members of the public. Subject matter is building on the Counselling Practicum and Supervision of the Year 1 courses.
 
Group Counselling and Group Leadership
This course provides an opportunity for students to integrate the theory and practice of Group Work. Students will lead the training group singly and as co-leaders and will receive supportive feedback and supervision.
 
Relationship Counselling and Conflict Resolution
Provides a philosophical orientation and a framework of skills which can create cooperative pathways. Methods are taught that facilitate movement from conflict to resolution and help individuals successfully negotiate the process of relationship.

Family Counselling
This course identifies the key principles and concepts of family counselling, while encouraging experiential learning through family of origin exploration.
 
Counselling Skills 2
Builds on the learnings of Clinical Skills 1 and provides students with advanced clinical skill practise.
 
Addictions Counselling
Combines theoretical and practical knoowledge to assist in the understanding and treatment of addictive behaviours. Similarities and differences between various addictions are outlined.
 
Dreamwork
Examines a number of theories and methods of dreamwork, emphasizing therapeutic ways to work with dreams in the counselling process. In addition, students will learn how to help clients work with their own dreams.

Hypnotherapy
This course focuses on the theory and practise of hypnotherapy with an emphasis on the multi-faceted therapeutic approaches of Milton Erickson.
 
Residential Workshops
Counselling students often participate and assist in residential workshops facilitated by Mahmud Nestman. These are intensive personal growth workshops which are intended to support individual healing within the context of a creative and therapeutic community.
